GENERAL INFORMATION
IN-HOUSE TAILORED OPTIONS & PROGRAMMES
We can run courses and programmes tailored to meet your organisational objectives and specific needs. Programmes can range from a conference presentation, a one day leadership/team-development event at your own site, a two day or more event at a venue of your choice, - to a series of modules over an extended period. The Operational Leader and Powerful Presentations Courses can be tailored to meet your requirements as company courses. The process for organising tailored courses is:
- Stage 1 - Client Enquiry. Initial enquiry by customer. Discussion with Courses Director by phone, followed by initial visit to customer if required.
- Stage 2 - Agree & Set Course Objectives. Courses Director and customer agree course objectives, outline of programme and budget. Proposed dates and venue provisionally booked. Courses Director will want to identify key internal & external issues, and challenges facing individuals and the organisation. Five key questions are:
- What development/changes/performance improvements do you want to bring about in your people and organisation, in order to meet your operational & business objectives?
- How much time are you prepared to allow individuals to attend development training?
- What budget are you prepared to invest in this development?
- The attitude of your managers at all levels - including you - towards supporting the development training is probably as important as the training itself. Are you ready to give this support?
- As you develop leadership lower down in your organisation, the expectation from staff of good leadership from senior management will increase - are you ready for this?
- Stage 3 - Programme Design. Course designed and costed by Courses Director. Proposal, including accept-by date, submitted to customer for approval. A Training Needs Analysis may be conducted involving questionnaires, psychometrics & other development diagnostics, and interviews. Visits to work sites to meet staff on the ground also provide essential background information.
- Stage 4 - Deliver Programme. Course run by Course Director & experienced staff to achieve customer objectives. A key requirement will be to ensure learning points are highlighted, and an action plan made to ensure transfer of learning to the workplace.
- Stage 5 - Follow-up Review. Follow-up questionnaire to customer and delegates to confirm the effectiveness of the programme - that learning points are transferred to the workplace, and action plans carried out. Facilitated review can be conducted by the Course Director, if required.
