Venues.  Programmes can be held at your own site or a hotel/conference centre near you, subject to suitability. Open Powerful Presentation Courses are generally run at Somerford Hall in Staffordshire, but in-house courses can be run at any suitable venue. Operational Leader Courses are held at the Longmynd Hotel, in Church Stretton, Shropshire.

Safety & Insurance.  Safety is a high priority. All activities are supervised by experienced and qualified staff. Risk assessments are carried out on all activities by qualified staff, and risk either minimised or removed. Staff are qualified in first aid. Delegates are reminded that they share responsibility with us for their own safety and the safety of others in their teams. Details of our insurance cover is available, if required, which includes £5m of public liability. Many people now have Personal Accident Cover for their everyday activities. Delegates may wish to take out a personal accident policy, which will offer compensation to them, should they be injured during the course through the fault of a party other than The Leadership Challenge Ltd.

Fitness & Participation.  There will be some physical activity on the courses, but delegates will only be expected to undertake activities that are within their capability and so should not worry unduly about this. The age range of delegates has been 20s to 60s with no difficulties. Anyone can usefully attend our courses whatever their level of physical ability, health and fitness, but we and they will be sensible about their level of participation. We have a policy of "Challenge by Choice", which means delegates decide whether to do the activities or not - and there will be no pressure on them to do anything against their will.

Delegates are asked to list any relevant medical issues on a Personal Details Proforma sent out with joining instructions, and bring any medication with them on the course. Medical information will be treated as in-confidence, unless delegates are happy to disclose it to other team members. Delegates who have concerns about their health and fitness should consult a doctor before coming on the courses, and/or contact us to discuss their individual concerns.

Booking Procedure.  Please telephone, fax, or email The Leadership Challenge to confirm availability on the Programme and dates you require. Written confirmation of places / programmes availability and an invoice will be sent to you. The invoice will be broken down into a 25% deposit, which should be paid within a month of receipt, and a 75% balance to be paid 10 working days before the Programme.

Cancellations.  25% Deposit is not refundable if cancellation is made within eight weeks of the start of the course. Fees remain payable in full if a delegate withdraws during the 15 working days before the start of the course, unless a reserve delegate from another company accepts the short notice vacancy. Own company/organisation substitutions are allowed at any time prior to the start of the course. If the course is cancelled by The Leadership Challenge Ltd all deposits and fees will be repaid, unless transfer to an alternative course is accepted by the customer. Customer cancellations may negate discounts if applicable.

Joining Instructions.  Delegate Joining Instructions will be sent to the company contact person upon delegate course booking. They should be passed immediately to the delegates for information and completion of the required Personal Details Proforma and any preparatory work. All completed Proformas should be returned to The Leadership Challenge Ltd at least four weeks before the commencement of the course unless otherwise stated, to enable us to prepare to help your delegates as fully as possible.
